PURCHASE PROGRAM
AWD continuously seeks young, promising dogs with strong working potential to be included in our selection and training programs.
Preferred Breeds
We are primarily interested in German Shepherds, Belgian Malinois, Dutch Shepherds, and their crossbreeds, aged 10 to 30 months.
We also occasionally purchase Labrador Retrievers, English Springer Spaniels, Cocker Spaniels, and German Shorthaired and Wirehaired Pointers.
Basic Requirements
All dogs must have a valid international vaccination certificate for rabies and infectious diseases, administered at least 30 days prior to testing.
The owner or an authorized representative must be present during the evaluation and provide written confirmation that the dog has not bitten or injured any person within the last 21 days. Prior to arrival, X-rays of hips, elbows, and spine are required.
Testing Procedure
Testing includes evaluation of:
→ socialization with people and environment,
→ interest in play, retrieval, and object search (ball, plastic or metal pipe),
→ gunfire response (9mm and 6mm),
→ adaptability to different environments — enclosed spaces, slippery surfaces, urban settings.
For protection dogs, grip quality on the sleeve and suit is additionally evaluated.
Dogs that meet the criteria remain in our center for further observation.
Observation Period
Dogs that successfully pass testing remain in our center for a 14-day evaluation period, during which our team assesses their temperament, adaptability, and overall suitability for work. After this period, a final purchase decision is made.
Pre-trained and Fully Trained Dogs
We also purchase pre-trained and fully certified working dogs. Following acquisition, our instructors perform further evaluation and, if necessary, continue training to meet our clients’ high operational standards.
